I made this aspen tree ornament after a summer trip to beautiful Colorado.  Unfortunately, I didn’t take pictures of my process, but it wasn’t difficult.  You can use the tutorial that helped me by going to this site:  http://angelaandersonart.blogspot.com/2012/11/easy-birch-trees-kids-art-class.html.

I first put down layers of painters tape where I wanted the trees to go, and then I painted the 6″ wooden disk gold — front and back.  I stamped some green circles and splattered it with red paint.  Finally, I removed the painters tape, used black paint and a credit card to make the tree effect, and coated it all with ModPodge to seal.  Lots of steps, but easy to do.  My kind of project!
