Li’l Miss’s Reading Nook

Standard

While Li’l Miss and her parents were on their way to her 4-year-old birthday party, Dan the  Man and I were back at her house installing this cute reading nook.  I got the inspiration from the tutorial linked at the end of this post, though I did my own measurements and sewing techniques.  All the sewing crapsmanship is hidden behind the books and dowels.

If you’re one of the three regular readers of this blog, you may recognize the fabric as the same cloth I used to make Li’l Miss’s book pocket pillows: https://crapsmanship.com/2017/01/21/book-pocket-pillows/.

My sweet four-year-old was thrilled with her surprise book nook, and this former teacher is thrilled at how much she loves books.  It’s a win-win, for sure!

Here’s one way to make your own:  http://pennycarnival.typepad.com/penny_carnival/2009/02/tutorial-hanging-book-display.html.
