DIY Bridal Shower Card and Gift

Friends were throwing a surprise bridal shower for Amy, and the hostesses asked for gifts of cash to help Amy and Fiance on their honeymoon. Of course, cash slipped into a commercial card wasn’t good enough for me. Crapsmanship to the rescue!

Corn and Fettuccini Salad

Last week, I had several friends over for a Crafts & Cocktails day. We made mixed media art, drank some mango mimosas, and ate this easy lunch salad. Dan the Man and I have had the recipe forever; it first came out of the Houston Cronicle. Beef Tips Recipe — with easier directions!

Nearly two years ago, I blogged about an easy recipe for beef tips (https://crapsmanship.com/2015/07/22/our-favorite-beef-tips/).  It’s one of Dan the Man’s favorite meals, but though it’s easy, it involves a few steps that annoy me so much, I don’t like to cook it. Failed Butterfly Bowl

Dan the Man and I recently took a week long trip to Key West to celebrate our 30th anniversary. (I love you, honey!).  We were there during their annual Singer/Songwriter Festival.  We enjoyed the good music, cold drinks, and the six-toed cats.  We learned a little about American history at Truman’s Little White House and Ernest Hemingway’s house. One of my favorite activities was spending an hour or so in the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservancy.  Birds, butterflies, and lush foliage abounded, and I stayed busy oohing and aahing as I snapped pictures.  I was especially taken with the fruit feeders placed throughout the Conservancy: Read the rest of this entry
