A sweet couple asked me to do a small art piece for one of their mothers. Adrian’s mom has a refrigerator magnet with the quote by C.S. Lewis — “True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less.” Don’t you love it?Adrian hoped that I could make something a little classier than a fridge magnet, but other than that, he had no special requests. Cory mentioned that his mother-in-law really likes yellow roses, so I used this fact as my inspiration. Since I wasn’t exactly sure how Adrian wanted to use the final product, I did a yellow collaged flower in three different sizes and styles. (Yes, of course I neglected to get a photo of one.) But you can see two of the final products here. They were fun to do, and I was thrilled to have an art “commission”!
