About a year ago, I bought a Speedball linoleum cutter and accessories, and I finally started playing with it as I’m prepping cards for Christmas sales. I decided to start easy since I am a newbie, and this straight-lined Christmas tree seemed to be a good pattern to try.
I tested the completed stamp out and liked the look. The printed area is about 3″ x 5″.
I first painted 11″x 14″ sheets of mixed media paper either red or green, and I cut paper into the 4″ x 5″ rectangles for my cards. I then put a light coating of green paint onto the stamp and pressed the stamp on to my rectangles. Once the paint was dry, I decorated the stamped trees with gold, silver, and white Uniball Signo gel pens (my favorite!). I used double-sided tape to mount the finished art onto A2 cards, and I’m pleased with the final product from start to finish.
